Within the framework of the SECURE Project, Caucasus University successfully conducted a high-level regional online workshop dedicated to Post-Quantum Cryptography and Advanced Cybersecurity Practices for participants from Turkey and Azerbaijan.
The event brought together a diverse and highly qualified audience representing academia, governmental institutions, the private sector, critical infrastructure organizations, financial institutions, cybersecurity communities, and students specializing in information security and computer engineering.
The workshop attracted strong participation from leading universities and educational institutions, including Mu’tah University, International University of Kuwait, Bilkent University, Karabakh University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Business and Technology University, University of Georgia, Baku Engineering University, Sumgait State University, and Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
Governmental and national cybersecurity institutions were also actively represented, including participants from the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan, National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC), the Ministry of Health of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The business and industry sector included cybersecurity and IT professionals from major organizations such as SOCAR, ABB, Pasha Bank, Basisbank, AKTA, and ProximaTech.
The workshop featured advanced sessions on post-quantum cryptography, AI-driven cybersecurity approaches, 5G security technologies, ethical hacking, and offensive security practices. Participants also received live virtual access to the Quantum Security Laboratory in Tbilisi, as well as presentations of the AI Security and 5G Security laboratories established within the SECURE Project ecosystem. The demonstrations included quantum random number generation systems, quantum appliance platforms, side-channel analysis infrastructure, and modern cybersecurity research environments focused on emerging technologies.

The workshop further strengthened regional cooperation between academia, governmental institutions, and industry stakeholders while supporting the development of next-generation cybersecurity competencies and collaborative research initiatives across the region.
